I have a full time job this week. And also a part time job. I'm substitute teaching every day at the local high school, and also teaching a full week of piano lessons. It's weird to be back to the "use the weekend to get ready for the week" mentality. I've also been slightly sick for the past several days. The Beard has been home sick for 3 work days plus the weekend. He has it much worse than I do. Maybe that flu shot did something for me after all.
This morning, I got up and put stuff for spaghetti sauce in the crockpot. It should be very ready by dinner time. I cooked the beef and cut up the green pepper last night. Everything else comes from a can or something--pre-prepped, anyway. I figured I should do the cook-ahead meal while I'm all psyched. I also got stuff to make lasagna for later in the week (from the spaghetti sauce). Hopefully, I'll feel like putting that together tonight.
So far, the day is going well. I'm sitting in for the reading specialist, so there's lots of reading, tutoring, and some of the kids are doing some re-writing on laptop computers. Pretty low key. This period, the classroom aide is tutoring kids by having them read out loud to each other. I'm writing on my blog. Somehow, Typepad isn't blocked on the school computers, although every other fun site seems to be.
I can't believe I'm all through January and still haven't had time to sew this whole year. Yike. I would love to believe that my incredible organization will mean that I can sew in the evenings this week, but I suspect I will fall into bed, exhausted, each night.
